Want a say in how your time at university goes, and to actually shape some of it? Then you are in the right place. Whether your thing is education policy, events, sustainability, culture, international work or social affairs: the union runs on the people who turn up.
We are looking for people who want to get projects off the ground, stand up for other students, or simply bring in some fresh thinking.
You do not need German
Plenty of us work in English day to day, and students from more than 80 countries study here. Meetings run in whichever language works for the people in the room.
How to start
Email vorsitz.oeh@hok.ac.at and tell us what appeals to you. We will get back to you and work out together where you fit, usually over a coffee at the office. After that you join a department and see how it runs before committing to anything.
What if I want a vote?
Seats on the university representation are filled every two years at the union elections. In between you can work in a department as an officer at any time, with no election and no fixed term.
Sound good?
Send us two sentences about what interests you and how much time you have. We will take it from there.
